The Shadows of the Time Artistic intervention in the courtyard of the Castle of Montjuïc. Barcelona

The city of Barcelona has a particular history around this Castle. Built to dominate the city, not to defend it, it was the protagonist of two bombings of the city. If we add that it was one of the first cities bombed from the sky, a reflection is imposed. In the tower of the Castle you can see two ancient sundials. A scale reproduction of one of the deadliest cannons of the Nazi contribution to the Spanish Civil War, turned into a sundial, is projecting this dark memory, which has marked the history of the city of Barcelona. |
